Lodge/Hosteria - Just outside Annai, next to the airstripThe rock from which the lodge gets its name is next to the owner's original house, built in the 1950s by a Brazilian, and echoing (possibly) the crown of thorns. There are extensive views over the Rupununi savannah from the top of the rock. The Dakota Bar is next to the village airstrip. Maipaima is 8km from Nappi village and reached by 4x4 on a narrow dirt track through the forest, which can be subject to delays!
