Granada (Granada and Ometepe, Nicaragua)

Description

An island retreat on Lake Nicaragua, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Granada. There is a very pretty pool, several areas in which to relax in the shade and an open air restaurant overlooking the lake with views to the Mombacho volcano. There is a small beach of imported sand but nowhere on the island to walk.

Accommodation

There are nine identical casitas, each with a lake view and private terrace. Downstairs there is a sitting area and bathroom and upstairs is the bedroom, with mosquito nets and powerful ceiling fan.

Our comments

A lovely relaxing option to combine with a visit to Granada.
