Casa de Esteros
Location
Southern Iberá (The Iberá Marshlands, Argentina)
Description
A delightful lodge owned by Leslie and Valeria Cook who have been based in the region for many years. The lodge is set on 6 acres of land on the edge of Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. There are just 5 rooms, all in a building also featuring a dining room, living room with a fireplace and an open kitchen. There is a quincho in the garden where guests can have their own BBQ or warm up by the fire pit and a huge swimming pool which is regularly refreshed by water from the Iberá lagoon. Breakfast and lunch are included so guests are then able (and encouraged) to explore the town for dinner in the evenings.
Activities
A wide variety of excursions are included. The Cook's have their own horses and can organise riding as well as boat and kayaking trips on the Iberá lagoon, and hikes along the national park trails.
Accommodation
5 comfortable rooms - 2 within the main building and 3 larger ones overlooking the gardens.
