Description

Around 1 hour 30 minutes south of Buenos Aires. The owner, Angel Estrada, inherited the land the estancia now stands on from his mother's family. It was once an area of over 360,000 hectares and he now owns 230 hectares plus cattle.

Activities

Riding, carriage rides, croquet, duck and dove shooting in season, visit to the nearby town of San Miguel del Monte.

Accommodation

There are 3 bedrooms in the main building plus other rooms in separate adjacent buildings.

Our comments

A real home-from-home experience, with drinks in the lounge before supper and meals taken around a large table in the dining room. The food is excellent and the atmosphere delightful. Next door is a property owned by Angel's cousins, where you find the Ombu tree from the book by Santa Montefiore 'Meet me under the Ombu tree'.
