Casa Gangotena
Location
Historic centre (Quito, Ecuador)
Description
Previously a privately-owned mansion, Casa Gangotena has been beautifully restored with antiques and eclectic furniture. Many of the original features and quirky additions in the 1920's such as tin ceilings have been retained and refurbished. Spread over three storeys, the communal areas include a wood-panelled library, a dining room, patio, rear garden and third floor terrace with wonderful views. The hotel overlooks the historic, cobbled Plaza San Francisco and is in the centre of the colonial old town.
Accommodation
32 immaculate rooms over three floors, with views of the garden or plaza. The majority are luxury rooms, but other options include Plaza View rooms, Balcony Junior Suites and Suites. Room sizes vary because of the nature of the building.
