Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort
Papagayo Peninsula (The Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica)
A stunning low rise resort surrounded by forest and nestled between two white sand beaches at Culebra Bay. Facilities include two infinity pools, one for families, with views of the bay and one for adults only, with views to the mountains. There are three restaurants serving international and local cuisine.
There is complimentary kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and snorkelling. Activities available off the site or at extra charge include a kids club (for children aged 4-12); visits to the Rincón de La Vieja National Park with its forest trails and hot springs; an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer; or a nearby tennis club.
153 guest rooms, all with balconies, whose decoration mixes modern design with local character. Every room has a balcony with views of either the forest or Culebra Bay. There are 21 suites, of which 4 have private plunge pools.
A nice resort suited to families and in a beautiful location. The design is by Costa Rican architect Ronald Zurcher and was inspired by the native flora and fauna.
