Description
In the heart of Casco Viejo, the building dates back to 1917 and was originally a department store and bank. It was abandoned for many years, but has now been completely restored and still has many of the original features (including floors, lifts and even light switches).
Accommodation
There are only 50 rooms, each with air-conditioning, a flat screen television and wireless internet.
Our comments
There is a restaurant (which serves all meals), an outside terrace, reading room and a small rooftop pool with views over the old-town.
The American Trade Hotel was ideally situated in the Casco Viejo and was comfortable. The breakfast, however, was very stingy by comparison with others.
