Description

Small, friendly lodge on the edge of the river. Cabanas are set around the gardens and they have a medium-sized pool, good restaurant (all meals included in your stay) and games room.

Activities

2 tours are included in a 2 night stay - on arrival you have a tour of the nearby village of Tortuguero and the following day a canoe trip along the Tortuguero canals to see wildlife. Optional tours, including turtle nesting tours in season, can be arranged locally. There are kayaks and pedal boats to use on the river.

Accommodation

There are 12 cabanas. All have 2 queen size beds, ensuite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor shower, airconditioning, ceiling fan, screened windows, small porch, minibar and TV.

The smallest comfortable lodge in the area.

When to go

All year round but January-March can be busy. For the opportunity to see Green turtles laying their eggs you should visit from June to October.

The best part was Tortuguero. The location was great, and again, we had a really excellent guide for the two boat trips and also the turtle nesting night. Wildlife extended into the hotel grounds, with howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots etc. The forest walk was impressive too, with rather a lot of poison arrow frogs. - JJ (September 2019)
