San Andrés and Providencia

700km from the coast lies the archipelago of San Andrés and Providencia. Once a useful haunt for pirates and buccaneers, today it attracts visitors with great diving, un-crowded white sand beaches and laid-back island life.

Cabañas Agua Dulce

Beach hotel - Providencia
One of the prettier and larger hotels on the island, this hotel is decorated in bright colours and looks very welcoming. There is a good-sized pool and Pirates of the Caribbean bar (complete with model of pirate behind the bar!). The restaurant is open air and there is a games room for children.
Cabañas Relax

Beach hotel - Providencia
A small property just across the road from the sea and 2 minutes walk to Freshwater Bay, this offers a good budget alternative to the larger hotels in the area. There is a swimming pool (with safety barriers) and a little restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Casa Harb

Beach hotel - San Andrés
A beautiful house just 10 minutes outside the main town on the island, this has been lovingly converted by the owners into a stylish and very comfortable place to stay.
Deep Blue

Beach hotel - Providencia
A small yet modern hotel just a short boat ride from nearby Providencia island, surrounded by dazzling blue water and lush tropical forest.

There is a bar, restaurant and sun terrace which is perfect for relaxing. For guests wanting to visit the beach, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service.

A simple but comfortable hotel right on the sea (no beach access but lovely views) near Providencia's main beach of Freshwater Bay. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
Royal Decameron Aquarium

Beach hotel - San Andrés
Just 5 minutes from the busy duty-free town centre, this is one of the original hotels on the island, and still maintains its iconic 1960s style. Rooms are in unusual round towers, set along the waterfront. There is a bar right out on the jetty, great to watch the sunset from.
San Luis Village

Beach hotel - San Andrés
A small, friendly hotel on San Luis beach, a few miles from the town centre. The hotel is simple, but rooms are clean and comfortable and it is set in front of one of the best beaches on the island. There is a small restaurant and swimming pool. There is a nice, relaxed, Caribbean atmosphere.
Sol Caribe

Beach hotel - Providencia
The Sol Caribe is the largest hotel on the island and has direct access on to the public beach at Freshwater Bay. It has a good-sized swimming pool and the restaurant is right by the water edge.
