Description

Just over one hour from Ciuabá, this lodge is off the Transpantaneira road which runs through the northern Pantanal region. It has a very pretty aspect, set in 7,000 acres of savanna.

Activities

A specially converted truck (pulled by tractor) takes guests through the rivers, forests and grasslands looking for birds and wildlife, always accompanied by local guides. There are horses available for riding, excursions by boat, and hiking trails around the lodge.

Accommodation

14 rooms are set off to one side of the main building, and they are comfortable with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, and private bathroom. There is a lovely swimming pool and sun-loungers and hammocks in the shade for relaxing.

Our comments

A good base from which to explore this scenic area, with easy access from Ciuabá.

When to go

Open all year, although the wet season would be very hot and humid (December to March).
