Bahia state has some wonderful beaches with a range of accommodation to suit all tastes - secluded beaches and family-run pousadas in Morro de São Paulo or Boipeba, or comfortable resorts around Praia do Forte.

Inn/Posada - Boipeba IslandA beautiful 18th century mansion converted into a private house/hotel, in the centre of town, 10 minutes’ walk from the beach. There is a large kitchen/dining area and a lounge with a veranda overlooking the historic church. There is also a beautiful garden with a small pool (rare in Boipeba).
Pousada Santa Clara
Beach hotel - Boipeba IslandJust off Boca de Barra beach and a short walk into town. The pousada is simple but charming set in lush gardens and there is a social area with small library, a tree-top massage area and bar/restaurant. The Santa Clara is well known for its excellent 'Bahian fusion' food.
Tivoli Eco Resort Praia do Forte
Resort - Praia do ForteTivoli Eco Resort is 80km from Salvador, about 1km outside the village of Praia do Forte, within a protected environmental area with 12km of beach and bordered by coconut palms. It is a comfortable, well-run beach front resort with three restaurants and an excellent range of facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts and a Thalasso spa and fitness centre. There is also plenty of space to relax within the large grounds.
